So first things first, who am I?
My name is Jane Binnion and I’m the founder and MD of Ethical Business Training. I’m an award-winning social media and ethical sales trainer, author of The Heart of Sales and founder of The Growing Club. And I love people’s stories.
I am based near the beautiful historic city of Lancaster and work with organisations across the UK and beyond.
My background as a youth and community worker and trainer in the not-for profit sector taught me to be Systematic, Strategic and Solution Focused. I am highly skilled in group work and working one to one. The value base that took me into community work, that of empowering individuals and groups, is exactly what underpins my work now.
Empowering people through skills training
I understand that for many people the learning experience has not always been positive, so I give you good attention, start from where you are and work with you to learn the skills that you need to enable you and your organisation to grow.
Putting training into practice
Training budgets are tight right now and the days of teams having a pleasant day out at a meh event are well and truly over. My training inputs are about delivering relevant accessible content and inspiring people to implement their learning.
As an ethical entrepreneur I practice transparency in my dealings with customers and suppliers and I am clear that success in business is all about relationships. I practice what I preach and use social networking to grow my own business and I run my office on solar power.
I value the long term relationships that I have with my customers and so I will not try to sell you anything that isn’t right for your organisation and if I can’t deliver what you need I will tell you. But as I have a great network of trusted associates it’s likely that I will know someone who can help you.
And because money matters, I charge a fair price and have a sliding scale for not for profit organisations, start up’s and sole traders. My clients find my fees to be excellent value.
Other stuff about me..
Running my own business enables me to be creative and I am very proud to have written the first children’s story book about Dyspraxia, You’re so clumsy Charley which is on sale at Amazon.
And I’m the social media advisor for the charity Dyspraxia Foundation
I write a weekly Column for Lancaster Guardian and I am on the Radio 4 Women’s Hour expert list.
Having lived in rural Ghana with my small daughter, with no sanitation or water on tap, each year I donate to WaterAid to have a toilet built to enable girls to continue to go to school after puberty.
And I have a 3 legged rescue dog who inspires me daily, so much so I even wrote a business tips blog post about her !
