Social Media Surgery, Lancaster.
The Lancaster Social Surgery is a recent initiative that has come about as the result of a requests for support, we then went on to join the national initiative http://socialmediasurgery.com/
The purpose of the Social Surgery is to provide an informal and friendly, supported work space for people who are absolute beginners to those fairly confident with their social media but would like someone on hand to check things out to progress their social media strategy and presence.
The Social Surgery is not a workshop and is run very informally, with peer sharing encouraged.
The session will run from 12.30 to 2pm once a month and is being hosted by The Lancaster Hub, part of Printing.com, Penny St, Lancaster . To see the date of the next surgery click here
Jane Binnion of Jane’s Social Media, and Tom Cumpsty of Sensible Internet are both on hand for support and volunteer ‘surgeons’ are most welcome.
It is essentially a drop in session, but there are a maximum of 8 places, so booking is recommended to secure your seat!
You will need to bring a lap top.
Cost : Free to community groups and local charities.
A huge Thank You Jane for the brilliant surgery this afternoon, as you can see I’m trying out some of what I learned! It was a really helpful experience and I’m so looking forward to meeting you again. Thank You, Val x Tigerlily Trust
Jane Binnion also runs regular ‘social media for business use’ workshops for beginners to advanced, on the main platforms.
