This year I made a decision to finally, properly, deal with a long term shoulder problem by using a *vibroacoustic bed. In treating the whole of my body, rather than just the painful bit, I really got to understand the joinedupness of my body. And then I saw that a joined up, holistic approach is equally important for a fully functional, healthy organisation.
Even though I knew it in theory, this treatment really brought home to me that just working on the bit that hurts (which I have been doing for 5 years) may lead to short term pain relief, BUT, if we pay better attention to the workings of our body and organisation as a whole, we can spot the bad habits that aggravate (an injury) and get see the problem in it’s full context – because the knee bone is connected to the thigh bone in business too!
